It’s not going to be easy, but nothing worthwhile is ever easy.

All the good things take time, they say.

Hard work is a virtue, and this is going to be a virtuous journey, miraculous even, up steep mountainsides, across raging rivers, into the deepest forest, and across the most barren desert plain.

You better bring your walking shoes. Tie them up tight. Put on some comfy socks.

This journey will be unlike any other journey you have ever attempted.

Losing those ten pounds around your belly, that was nothing — child’s play — compared to this journey.

To avoid losing resolve along this journey, please keep your ambitions in mind — you are to free yourself of cynicism, a worthy goal in and of itself, and attempt to rekindle a sense of hope and optimism in the world, another worthy aim.

Just like those ten pounds, you are trying to improve yourself, improve your life by improving your consciousness; a software update, if you will.

You are, no doubt, tired of carrying the heavy burden of cynicism around with you everyday. It stinks up your life, polluting the air you breathe, repelling other people — they give you a wide berth.
